Non-Potable Water Information

Dear Wildwing Residents,

As we move into the hottest month of the year, we want to remind you of the overall community's non-potable water usage and how to report issues.

WildWing is a remarkable community with fantastic walking paths and recreational spaces. As you enjoy our common areas, please help us with our water conservation efforts by reporting water leaks, broken sprinkler heads, or any overwatered common areas. Working together can reduce the risk of our water supply being exhausted early.

Community Water Usage

As of July 29th, the community has used 110af / 180af allocation; this year is playing out similarly to the last couple of years. Currently, they are estimating shutoff roughly around September 18th, which is historically about the same time as years past. Larimer/Weld Reservoir Co. has been very consistent, with their annual ditch shutdown time falling right around September 15th every year.

Water Conservation Tips

·        Avoid watering during the heat of the day, between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm, to reduce evaporation.

·        Be mindful of the weather, avoid watering on rainy or windy days.

·        Water deep, 2-3 times a week, depending on the weather.

·        Keep grass 3-4 inches high to shade roots and hold moisture.

·        Avoid watering hard surfaces such as sidewalks, driveways and landscape material.

How to Report watering concerns for common areas

  • Email the Metro District at info@wildwingmd.live
  • Call the Metro District at 970-617-2467
  • Report emergencies, like running water, by calling 970-669-3611
  • Include the location by noting the closest address or cross street and a photo, if possible

Non-emergency Process

The Metro District staff picks up non-emergency calls and emails once a day and passes them on to the facilities team, which contacts the landscaping contractor. The issues will be addressed and repaired as the budget allows.

Emergency Process

Emergency call and email communications received during business hours are addressed immediately by the Metro District Wildwing team.

Emergency after-hours calls received by the emergency number are answered by a call service and routed to a Metro District Wildwing on-call team member. All concerns are logged for tracking and resolution documentation. If the community has a recurring concern, information is posted on the news section of the District website.

Regards,

WildWing Metro District
